1^st Annual Pediatric Emergency Medicine Boot Camp Home Study Program

The “Boot Camp” has been designed to focus on the daily needs of EM providers taking care of pediatric patients in their EDs. The home study program should facilitate the enhancement of clinical skills critical to the successful management of common, uncommon, simple and complex pediatric cases. No need to fear the Peds case again! The nationally recognized faculty will provide you with the pearls and cutting edge information to gain, regain or develop more confidence in caring for these often infrequent cases that every emergency physician, nurse or mid level provider needs to be prepared to manage. Target Audience

The Pediatric EM Boot Camp is designed to meet the needs of physicians and other care providers taking care of pediatric patients in the ED. Our goal is to provide expert education, regarding what every emergency physician and other providers need to know to get through a shift full of pediatric patients and feel confident in the care they’ve provided. Learning Objectives

After completing the Pediatric Emergency Medicine Boot Camp Home Study Program, participants will be able to:

• Incorporate strategies into practice to reduce the likelihood of misdiagnosis of pediatric emergencies.
• Identify physical examination findings suggestive of critical illness in pediatric patients to avoid inappropriate discharges.
